What Does Gum Bleeding Mean?
Healthy gums should not bleed, so seeing some pink in the sink can be a scary experience. Often, bleeding gums are simply a sign that you need to step up your dental hygiene routine. This is because plaque tends to build up along the gum line, and the bacteria it contains irritate the gums. Good brushing and flossing habits will remove the plaque and allow your gums to heal. However, if the bleeding continues, you will need to schedule an appointment with our team for further evaluation.
Gums that continue bleeding may be suffering from gum disease. Gum disease can increase the risk of heart disease and diabetes, so it needs to be addressed as soon as possible. A professional deep cleaning will remove any buildup so that your gums can heal. Some patients may need additional periodontal therapies, such as antimicrobial treatments or surgery. However, most people can be treated conservatively and recover fully from gingivitis, the earliest stage of gum disease. Later stages of gum disease may require more aggressive treatments to control the infection and protect the teeth and bone.
Gum disease is not the only cause of bleeding gums. Aggressive brushing, hormonal changes and bleeding disorders can all increase the risk of bleeding gums. Practicing good dental hygiene, avoiding tobacco and scheduling regular cleanings and exams can all reduce the risk of bleeding gums. I've been going here since 2010 and I love this dental office! It's very convenient to my residence and they offer an array of services! I'm currently under Invisalign treatment and they gave me a great price! I highly recommend them for any of your dental needs!
I really like this dental office, dentists, and staff. The hygienist was very gentle and well mannered, she gave me tips on flossing and brushing properly, I highly recommend them to friends and family..

Now I Can Smile Again!
The dentist just made my front teeth/smile look like I had veneers implanted! She took away all my dark spots and heading without crowns and painful implants. It looks amazing! Thank You 🙂
The dentist was very kind + caring. Highly recommend! I only had a few days left on my dental insurance + she helped to prioritize my care + fit me in so that I could get issues taken care of in a pinch. The office manager, couldn't have been sweeter + she helped me to understand the sometimes tricky insurance pieces + actual prices I'd be paying before I made any decisions. A+ experience.
